Preston Pablo to headline Vaughan’s Canada Day celebration!

Come celebrate Canada’s 158th birthday with us!
Gather your friends and family and join us on Tuesday, July 1 for a Canada Day to remember with an exciting lineup of FREE entertainment and activities all day long, including a special headline performance by JUNO award winner Preston Pablo at 3 p.m.!
The City of Vaughan’s annual, award-winning Vaughan Celebrates Canada Day event is taking place at North Maple Regional Park (11085 Keele St.) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will include a spectacular lineup of live entertainment, activities, free giveaways while supplies last and much more. Food trucks selling delicious eats will be on site so you can snack all day. You can also explore the business zone and marketplace with vendors selling or showcasing their products and services.
Stage entertainment will start at 10 a.m. followed by an official welcome from Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council at 12:15 p.m.
You won’t want to miss this year’s exciting lineup! Event entertainment includes:
- Preston Pablo
- Kiesza
- Chinese Lyra performance
- Educational demonstration by The Eyrie: Birds of Prey
- Little Jingle Beans: Glinda + Elphaba from Wicked
- Phil Wizard (Canadian Olympic Breakdancer gold Medalist)
- Bollywood Dance Workshop by Dance Together Project + Naach for Fun
- Drum performances by Drums Et Al and Sahab Habibi
- The Springcreek Singers and Dancers
- Leave Those Kids Alone (music performance)
There will also be many activities for people of all ages to enjoy, including:
- arts, crafts and interactive activities
- axe throwing (for ages 18 years and older)
- free giveaways (while supplies last)
- glitter tattoos
- gym bus and sensory bus
- hockey circus show
- midway rides and an inflatable slide
- ping-pong tables
- recreation activities
- stilt walkers and strolling entertainment

Ride the shuttle bus for FREE!
There is no on-site parking available at the event. You can park-and-walk from St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Elementary School (131 Ravineview Dr.), however, there are limited parking spots available.
What’s the best way to get to the event? Ride the FREE shuttle bus with service running to and from North Maple Regional Park at the following locations:
- Maple Community Centre (10190 Keele St.)
- Vaughan City Hall (2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.)
- VMC Library (200 Apple Mill Rd.) *paid parking
The shuttle service will run frequently from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. so you can come at any time and stay for all the fun!
