Get the ‘dirt’ on healthier soil
Attend a free gardening workshop on Oct. 25 at Marita Payne Park
Calling all green thumbs! The City of Vaughan is teaming up with Jocelyn's Soil Booster to offer a free gardening workshop to help you learn how to nurture plants and trees on your property.
Join Jocelyn’s Soil Booster founder, Jocelyn Molyneux, and City staff on Saturday, Oct. 25 at Marita Payne Park (2 Glen Shields Ave.) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jocelyn will walk attendees through a soil-boosting demonstration and activity. Participants will learn how to nurture healthy, thriving plants while reducing waste and improving economic impact.
This is a family-friendly event – no gardening experience required. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own gardening gloves and dress appropriately – it might get messy! Space is limited, so register now to confirm your attendance.
This workshop is part of the City’s environmental stewardship program, Green Guardians. The program enhances awareness and encourages public participation in environmental events throughout the city. It also offers an accessible and resourceful database for you to learn more about environmental stewardship events, programs and activities to participate in.
You can become a Green Guardian of Vaughan by participating in existing events and programs, or creating your own event. Learn more at vaughan.ca/GreenGuardians.
