NOW OPEN: Millway Avenue Linear Park
The City of Vaughan is pleased to officially open the Millway Avenue Linear Park in the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC)!
Celebrations were held this morning at the park, located at 25 Millway Ave., with Mayor Steven Del Duca, Members of Council and residents to mark the completion of this $1.5-million project. The event included remarks from Mayor Del Duca, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, hot chocolate and an interactive DJ.
The Millway Avenue Linear Park features:
an accessible playground.
a custom basketball court with multiple rim heights for different age groups and skill levels.
a gathering space with a shade structure and movable seating.
an open greenspace.
This new park will serve residents and visitors to the VMC and is inclusive and welcoming for all, with features that encourage active play, recreation and community connection.
