Coming soon: New playground at Tammy Breda Park
Exciting news for Ward 2 – the City of Vaughan is revitalizing the playground at Tammy Breda Park (181 Forest Fountain Dr.), introducing more modern, engaging spaces for children of all ages.
Earlier today, Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council gathered to celebrate the upcoming transformation, highlighting the City’s continued investment in vibrant, high-quality community spaces.
The park currently features both junior and senior play areas. As part of this project, both areas will be fully renewed with updated, engaging equipment designed to inspire active play and creativity.
Construction is set to begin early 2027, with the new playground expected to open by summer 2027. During construction, the playground will be closed. Residents are encouraged to explore nearby parks, such as Via Verde Park (730 Napa Valley Ave.) and Napa Valley Park (80 Napa Valley Ave.), which will remain open and accessible.
Once complete, the renewed space will offer an enhanced play experience for local families – creating more opportunities to connect, explore and play close to home.
