City of Vaughan Forestry Inspector recognized for excellence
A member of the City of Vaughan’s Parks, Forestry and Horticulture Operations team is being recognized for excellence in arboriculture.
Forestry Inspector Kari Sthyr Hansen has received the Women in Arboriculture Ontario (WAO) Award of Recognition, presented by the International Society of Arboriculture Ontario (ISA Ontario), honouring her for her expertise and leadership in the field.
During a special ceremonial presentation at the June 23 Council meeting, Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council recognized Kari for this exceptional achievement.
The ISA Ontario Awards of Distinction celebrate individuals and organizations making significant contributions to the province’s forestry sector. WAO highlights and advances the role of women in arboriculture, with its Award of Recognition honouring those who support and encourage women entering and growing in the profession.
