Join us on Sept. 6 to enjoy this inviting space

Good news – work to enhance Woodbridge Library is now complete and you’re invited to attend the grand reopening celebration!

Join Mayor Steven Del Duca, Members of Council and the Vaughan Public Library Board on Saturday, Sept. 6 at 1 p.m. at the Woodbridge Library, located at 150 Woodbridge Ave., for an event that will include a ribbon-cutting, remarks from Mayor Del Duca, free activities and more.

This renovation has increased the library’s space by 730 square feet and introduced several upgrades, including:

  • an expanded entrance area with higher ceilings and more windows.

  • more seating.

  • facility upgrades to comply with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, including an upgraded elevator.
  • glass walls added to the lower level and children’s area.

  • new flooring.

  • new LED lighting.

  • updated washrooms.

The City contributed approximately $2.38 million and received $445,000 from the Government of Canada, through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), to complete these improvements.

These enhancements create a brighter, more accessible and inviting space for all visitors to enjoy – whether you’re borrowing a book, attending programs or simply relaxing in the new seating areas.
