The 2023 Vaughan Transportation Plan Final Report and Executive Summary are now available for public review on vaughan.ca/TransportationPlan.

 

Residents are encouraged to submit comments directly to the project team by Saturday, June 24, 2023. Send your questions and comments to TransportationPlan@vaughan.ca.

The project team presented to the Mayor and Members of Council at the May 3, 2023 Committee of the Whole (Working Session). The Committee recommended that the Vaughan Transportation Plan be approved in principle, subject to final comments received from the public, stakeholders, Indigenous communities and the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks.

Participants were asked for their thoughts on how the Vaughan Transportation Plan could improve transportation in the City, what their transportation priorities were, and how the Plan could help them choose different ways to travel.

Participants were invited to review background information, key findings, alternative transportation solutions under consideration and evaluation criteria. 

 

January 2021 - Business and Employer Stakeholder Engagement

Feedback Summary

Focused stakeholder meetings were held virtually in January 2021 with the local business community to generate ideas and input to the planning for sustainable transportation. The purpose of these sessions was to hear about experiences and input from these key stakeholders to directly inform the City's policy direction and guidelines for future transportation infrastructure and programs.

 

February 2020 - Pop-Up Events

Feedback Summary

The Vaughan Transportation team attended the B2B Expo and Vaughan Winterfest in February 2020. Residents and businesses were asked about their current travel behaviours and what they thought would improve their travel choices.

 

November 2019 - Study Commencement

Notice of Study Commencement 

The Vaughan Transportation Plan was formally commenced in November 2019, and a Notice was posted online and in newspapers, consistent with the requirements of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment process.
