Industrial, Commercial and Institutional
Many industrial, commercial or institutional buildings within the city of Vaughan are subject to site plan controls under the Planning Act. A site plan letter of undertaking or a site plan agreement must be approved and in place prior to the submission of a building permit application.
Change of Use - No construction drawing requirements
A PDF copy of the existing floor layout drawing must be provided.
All drawings are to be designed to a minimum scale of 1:75 or 3/16ths equals one foot. Drawings are to be fully dimensioned, signed and dated, and include information such as:
- Key plan, indicating:
- The location of the subject unit in relation to the rest of the building
- The existing uses of the abutting units
- Structural drawings to include the existing layout
