Vaughan Animal Services is taking this opportunity to remind pet owners they have a responsibility while taking their pets outside to ensure the safety of others, including other dogs.

Keep your dog on a leash
The City of Vaughan’s greenspaces have historically included parks, trails and pedestrian pathways, urban forests, valleylands, wetlands and naturalized areas. Emerging new types of public open spaces, especially within areas of intensification, are fundamental to the growth of Vaughan’s greenspace network. Equitable access to greenspace is also vital for a healthy and sustainable urban environment and can enhance the overall quality of life of residents.
The term “greenspaces” refers to a variety of outdoor recreational spaces that residents may use to get exercise, connect with nature, relax or socialize with others. These spaces may be big or small – from your neighbourhood park, to trails like the Bartley Smith Greenway or larger regional parks like North Maple Regional Park, to woodlots.
