The Culture Talks Summit will launch the Cultural Framework and Public Art Plan for the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, and the City-wide Public Art Study. The event invites people who live, work and study in Vaughan to join the discussion about the future of arts and culture in the community.

Eighth Annual Vaughan Juried Art Exhibition on Display at City Hall

Art enthusiasts are invited to visit the City of Vaughan’s eighth annual Vaughan Juried Exhibition: an art integration project. Eighteen original works of art were selected for display from 213 submissions by emerging and established artists from Vaughan and the Greater Toronto Area.

Chanukah Celebrated at City Hall with Menorah Lighting Ceremony

A special menorah lighting ceremony in celebration of Chanukah was held at Vaughan City Hall on Tuesday, Dec. 16. Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua and Members of Council joined residents, guests and City staff for the special event. The ceremony marked the first night of Chanukah.

Chanukah, also known as the Festival of Lights, is an eight-day Jewish holiday celebrated each year to commemorate the rededication of the Temple in Jerusalem in the second century BC.
