Design a Flag to Celebrate Peace Tree Month in Vaughan

Youth and families of all cultures and faiths are invited to participate in the City of Vaughan’s upcoming Peace Tree Month festivities, including a flag design contest and nominations for the annual Peace Tree Ambassador Award.

Inspired by the award-winning film The Peace Tree by Mitra Sen, Peace Tree Month is held every June in the City of Vaughan for youth and families to celebrate peace and diversity through the arts, and work together to create new peace initiatives in schools and communities.

Jumpstart Spring with Seedy Saturday at Vaughan City Hall

The City of Vaughan is hosting the first Seedy Saturday event in Vaughan at City Hall on Saturday, March 2.

Seedy Saturday is an opportunity to jumpstart the growing season by exchanging seeds and sharing gardening advice. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Vaughan City Hall, 2141 Major Mackenzie Drive, and brings together garden enthusiasts to buy, sell and trade planting seeds including vegetables, herbs, flowers and native species.
