Road closure continues until December 2025

To ensure Kirby Road remains safe for all road users, the City of Vaughan is reconstructing the slope – or steep hill – and culvert on this road. The work is underway and will be completed by the end of this year.  

To safely complete this work, Kirby Road between Highway 27 and Kipling Avenue remains closed until the end of the year. Local traffic will have access to Kirby Road throughout construction.

Of the 19,700 businesses that call Vaughan home, more than 86 per cent are small enterprises. Through the Vaughan Business and Entrepreneurship Centre (VBEC), the City provides entrepreneurs with hands-on guidance, training, and funding to help them start, grow, and succeed right here in Vaughan.

Vaughan’s winter crews are ready and prepared to respond

Snow is in the forecast this weekend, and the City of Vaughan is ready to respond! Our Public Works teams are on standby to salt and plow, to ensure everyone can travel safely throughout the community despite the weather.
