Un-fore-gettable Spirit of Generosity
Mayor Steven Del Duca’s 2025 Annual Golf Classic raises funds to make a difference
Today, more than 150 golfers teed off at Eagles Nest Golf Club for Mayor Steven Del Duca’s 2025 Annual Golf Classic in support of the Spirit of Generosity, an initiative that inspires positive change in Vaughan and beyond.
All net proceeds raised during the sold-out tournament will be directed to the Spirit of Generosity, which continues its meaningful support of more than 250 non-profit and community organizations, including children and youth groups, healthcare initiatives, seniors’ organizations and special needs programs. Since 2011, the Spirit of Generosity has raised millions of dollars to enhance the lives of many in our community and throughout Ontario.
City Park Homes was this year’s event sponsor. The annual tournament featured a single shotgun format, accompanied by on-course activities, including closest-to-the-pin and longest-drive competitions, and a silent auction and helicopter ball drop contest. More than 220 guests attended the dinner.
QUOTE
“It was a wonderful day as I joined many Vaughan residents and business owners for my 2025 Annual Golf Classic. Vaughan is filled with many generous people who don’t hesitate when asked to step up and make a meaningful difference in the community. That’s what the Spirit of Generosity is all about. I want to thank Brian Bentz, President and CEO of Alectra, for his integral role as Chair of this event, once again, and for his continued dedication to ensuring it remains a success. I am beyond grateful for the support of local leaders and organizations, including event sponsor City Park Homes, for their commitment to giving back. It is a pleasure to continue working together to build a bright future for our city.”
