Applications are now open for the summer 2026 edition
Searching for a new way to attract diners and showcase your culinary creativity? Applications are now open for Vaughan Flavours, summer edition – the City of Vaughan’s popular food and drink festival, returning Friday, July 24 to Friday, Aug. 7.
Back by popular demand, Vaughan Flavours invites residents and visitors to enjoy delicious cuisine at some of the city’s restaurants – and we’re calling on local restaurants to help bring this culinary event to life!
If you own or operate a restaurant in Vaughan that offers dine-in options, we invite you to learn more, review the criteria and apply to participate in Vaughan Flavours summer 2026 edition by Monday, May 25 at visitvaughan.ca/VaughanFlavours. Participation in Vaughan Flavours is free; participating restaurants will need to provide a fully refundable $500 deposit, which will be returned upon successful completion of the program.
Designed to support the local restaurant economy and showcase Vaughan’s diverse culinary landscape, this two‑week food festival will run at participating dine‑in restaurants across the city, offering diners three‑course prix fixe menus (multi-course meals offered at a single, set price) at a variety of price points.
And for all the foodies who are excited to add this event to their summer itineraries, a list of participating restaurants will be announced later this season. Stay tuned!

The City of Vaughan will be launching Vaughan Flavours summer 2026 edition, taking place for two weeks from Friday, July 24 to Friday, Aug. 7, 2026.
Participating restaurants will offer dine-in experiences, featuring a three-course prix fixe menu.

- Vaughan Flavours is a City initiative created to further support local businesses in response to sweeping U.S. tariffs. It comes from Mayor Steven Del Duca’s and Ward 2 Councillor Adriano Volpentesta’s Members’ Resolution (PDF) directing staff to develop a pilot program encouraging residents and visitors to dine in Vaughan.
- Vaughan became the first municipality in Ontario to ratify a policy that bans U.S. suppliers in early March 2025. In April 2025, the City began offering businesses free ‘Vaughan Strong. Support Canadian’ welcome packages filled with materials to help identify local and Canadian-made goods in stores, removing the guessing game for shoppers at the checkout counter.
