Planning for Future Transit in the Keele Street and Kirby Road Area

The City of Vaughan is committed to keeping you moving – whether it be by foot, car, bus or train! As part of that commitment, the City is undertaking the Block 27 Transit Hub Special Study to determine how a potential GO Station could fit and function in the area at Keele Street and Kirby Road – and you can get involved.

The Block 27 area – bounded by Teston Road, Keele Street, Kirby Road and Jane Street –

is envisioned as a complete community. The study area, located in the north-eastern corner of

the area, is identified as a potential location for a future GO Station and is planned to include

a mix of low- and mid-rise housing, mixed-use and retail spaces, community facilities and parks.

Through the study, the City is examining how a potential GO Station could be integrated into the community, including its location, design, amenities such as parking and connections to the surrounding street network.

Get involved

In Phase 1, you had the opportunity to share your thoughts on potential station locations, features and street networks. Now in Phase 2, you’re invited to take an online survey to explore the recommended master plan, site layout and phasing strategy for the area by Tuesday, Sept. 15.
