Plan your trip to Canada Celebrates the FIFA World Cup 2026™ in Vaughan

Parking is limited, take transit!

 

Planning to attend the semi-final stop for Canada Celebrates the FIFA World Cup 2026™ in Vaughan on Wednesday, July 15? Remember that parking in the area is limited, with private paid parking lots nearby. Attendees are encouraged to take transit to the event at Assembly Park (80 Interchange Way).

 

Limited paid short-term (three-hour maximum) on-street parking is available on Apple Mill Road, Buttermill Avenue, Bent Tree Drive, New Park Place, Mable Smith Way, Autumn Harvest Way and Millway Avenue (south of Interchange Way). Parking is $1.25 per 20-minute interval or $3.75 per hour for up to a maximum of three hours. To learn more about on-street parking in the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, visit myvmc.ca/parking.

 

Alternatively, you can take the TTC Subway to the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Station (3150 Highway 7) or York Region Transit to the SmartVMC Bus Terminal (58 Millway Ave.).

 

The FREE, once-in-a-lifetime celebration takes place from noon to 8 p.m. and will feature cultural and musical performances, interactive activities, delicious food, family-friendly entertainment and, of course, the live semi-final match viewing at 3 p.m. on the big screen. 

 

Get ready to cheer on England and Argentina! Represent your country or semi-final team with jerseys, flags and more. 

 

As part of the Canada Celebrates program, 34 communities from across the country were selected to take turns hosting celebrations throughout the tournament, from Thursday, June 11 to Sunday, July 19. Vaughan is proud to be the only municipality in York Region participating in the Canada Celebrates program.
