Join us to celebrate the grand reopening of Velmar Downs Park on Aug. 5
Residents now have even more reasons to get outside and enjoy the great outdoors in Vaughan! Velmar Downs Park (30 Velmar Dr.) is officially open following a major revitalization, bringing new recreational amenities and enhanced gathering spaces to the community.
Join Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council on Wednesday, Aug. 5 at 10 a.m. at 30 Velmar Dr., to celebrate the grand reopening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, remarks, an interactive DJ and FREE ice cream.
The revitalized park features several new amenities designed to enhance recreation, accessibility and community enjoyment, including:
- a new, expanded playground
- a new basketball court
- a new shade structure
- additional seating areas
- enhanced landscaping and plantings
