Help keep catch basins clear

Report water ponding to the City at 905-832-2281

With rain and warm weather in the forecast this weekend, make sure melting snow, ice and rainwater have a place to drain by keeping catch basins clear of debris. Catch basins are stormwater drains located in the road that give melting snow and rainwater somewhere to drain. If a catch basin is blocked or covered by snow, ice or debris, water can pool and flood on the street.

We need your help clearing catch basins!

The resident living closest to a catch basin is encouraged to help clear it of debris, if it’s safe to do so. If you’re doing work outdoors, check to see if the catch basin by your home is covered or blocked.

If you see water ponding or flooding on the street near a catch basin, call the City at 905-832-2281 or email service@vaughan.ca.
