Culture Days Returns to Vaughan!

More than 50 free events across the City starting on Sept. 18

Arts, culture and community take centre stage as Vaughan Culture Days returns from Friday, Sept. 18 to Sunday, Oct. 4. As a Festival Hub for the Ontario Culture Days Festival for the fourth consecutive year, there will be dozens of free events for everyone to enjoy!  

Join us to kick off the festivities at the Vaughan Culture Days launch event on Saturday, Sept. 19 at the City Playhouse Theatre (102-1000 New Westminster Dr.). The event will run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and will celebrate the rich arts, culture and heritage of our community.

Enjoy a fun-filled day with plenty of entertainment, including an official ceremony with Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council at 1:10 p.m., music and cultural dance performances, arts and culture activities (such as bookmark making and earring making), and a special performance of Beauty and the Beast by DuffleBag Theatre.

• Where Are the Children? Healing the Legacy of the Residential Schools exhibit
  • Tuesday, Sept. 22 to Thursday, Oct. 1

• Great Novels Book Club
  • Wednesday, Sept. 23 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

  • Bathurst Clark Resource Library, 900 Clark Ave. W.

• Flavour Fusion
  • Monday, Sept. 28 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. 
  • Father E. Bulfon Community Centre, 8141 Martin Grove Rd.

• Creative Age: Drum and Percussion Circle
  • Friday, Oct. 2 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
