Reduced speed limits coming to some Vaughan neighbourhoods
As the next step in the City of Vaughan’s commitment to road safety, speed limits in some neighbourhoods are decreasing from 50 kilometres per hour to 40 kilometres per hour. New signage to indicate the reduced speed limits will begin to be installed in early May, and it is anticipated this work will be completed by the end of May.

Stormwater ponds are not for recreational use
Warmer weather may have you excited to spend time outdoors in Vaughan, but please stay clear of stormwater ponds. The City of Vaughan is reminding everyone that swimming, boating, fishing and other play are not safe in and around stormwater ponds due to the constant flow of water in and out of the pond, multiple pollutants and unpredictable water levels.

Back by popular demand, the City of Vaughan is offering student fitness memberships this summer. From now until Wednesday, Aug. 31, students aged 13 to 25 years old can purchase one-month fitness memberships at 30 per cent off ($32 plus tax).
