Help ensure the City’s winter operations run smoothly and safely
As the snow continues to fall in Vaughan, City crews work around the clock to provide citizens with efficient, reliable and high-level services. While the City handles salting, windrow clearing, plowing and snow removal along more than 2,200 lane-kilometres of roads and 1,200 kilometres of sidewalks throughout Vaughan, there are a number of ways you can help the City’s winter operations run smoothly and make sure you and your neighbours have a safe winter.

Vaughan declares a Significant Weather Event
The City of Vaughan has declared a Significant Weather Event based on a snowfall warning issued by Environment Canada. Significant snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 20 centimetres are expected tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 25, into Thursday, Jan. 26.

There’s still time to apply!
At the beginning of each Term of Council, the City of Vaughan recruits members of the public to join a City committee or board that provides guidance to the Mayor and Members of Council. Recruitment for these members is now underway and the deadline to apply is less than a week away – on Monday, Jan. 30.
