Learn from an industry expert about incentives and financing opportunities for green home improvements, including air source heat pumps, electric vehicles, windows, insulation, solar energy, stormwater management features, and more. Home Energy Retrofit Orientation Webinar Series
Want to reduce utility bills, improve home comfort, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions?
The City of Vaughan, in partnership with Markham, Richmond Hill, Humber College, and Enbridge Gas, is offering virtual HERO workshops for homeowners. The workshop is focused on engaging homeowners to understand and incorporate available energy retrofits, recognize the benefits of energy-efficient retrofits and learn about rebates and incentives.
This online workshop is facilitated by Marcus Hinds P.Eng., MBA, CEM, PMP, a Certified Energy Manager with over ten years experience in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) optimization and Energy Auditing.

Vaughan Culture Days Kick-off Event
Come find the Environmental Sustainability booth at the Vaughan Culture Days kick-off event Saturday September 21st from 11 am to 5 pm. We will have a seed starting workshop and other fun activites on hand.
Chancellor District Park Tree Planting Event
Come take part in a free tree planting event at Chancellor District Park!
The species planted will consist of pollinator plants and trees. Pollinator plants are critical in the functioning of ecosystems. They provide food, form habitats and provide a wide range of other resources for many animal species.
Saturday September 28th, 10 am - 12 pm at Chancellor District Park

A safety demo will be conducted before planting begins, so please arrive on time. Shovels will be provided.
The event is family friendly and there will be activities on hand for children.
This project is generously funded by a grant from TD Friends of the Environment Foundation.

North Maple Regional Park Tree Planting Event
Come take part in a free tree planting event at North Maple Regional Park (NMRP)!
NMRP is a 900-acre parcel of land being developed into a world-class destination with outstanding recreation and culture opportunities. The park vision will transform open space and former landfill areas into parkland for residents and visitors to enjoy. The park vision will take many years to implement and will be designed and constructed in several stages over the coming years.
