The City of Vaughan’s archives house more than 600 collections dating from the early 1700s to the present day. Within these files are the stories of how Vaughan evolved from the traditional territories of the First Peoples of Turtle Island to the bustling city it has become. 

 

Let’s look back at our history and share the stories of the people, places and moments that helped shape the city we know today. This month’s feature is on the Cober family.

There’s a new place to play in Vaughan!

Carrville Community Centre, Library and District Park set to open on June 30 

 

We have some exciting news to share – the new Carrville Community Centre, Library and District Park is officially opening its doors on Monday, June 30! 

 

Come explore state-of-the-art amenities, register for summer recreation programs or discover what Carrville Library has to offer. An official grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on Sunday, July 6, stay tuned for more details!

In honour of National Pollinator Week – which has been proclaimed by the City of Vaughan from Monday, June 16 to Sunday, June 22 – we’re encouraging you to get involved!
