The City of Vaughan’s Official Plan Review is well underway – and the updated plan is starting to take shape! It will guide the community’s growth into 2051, and, as the review progresses, your input continues to be vital. Feedback collected to date has helped City staff identify the community’s needs, determine focus areas and establish priorities.

Winter Operations Update: Sunday, March 5

City crews continue working 24-7 to clean up from Friday’s major snowfall

More than 30 centimetres of snow fell in Vaughan on Friday night – City crews continue to work around the clock to clear snow from roads, sidewalks and windrows.

Here is everything you need to know about today’s winter maintenance operations:

 

After the snow … comes the melt!

Following the major winter storm on Friday evening, warmer weather is in the forecast. And that means the 30 centimetres of snow on the ground is going to melt. Let’s work together to prevent flooding. 

You can help by clearing the catch basin near your property of snow, ice and other debris, if it’s safe to do so. As snow melts, blocked or concealed catch basins can lead to water ponding or street flooding.
