Phase 2 construction work to continue this year

North Maple Regional Park is the City of Vaughan’s biggest park project yet – and work to transform it is well underway! Are you spring cleaning?

Drop off extra organic waste at select community centres from March 19 to April 2

At this time of year, many of us are preparing to deep clean our homes for spring. You may be sorting through your freezer or pantry, which can leave you with more organic waste than usual. The City of Vaughan is here to help – there are many ways to dispose of this extra waste, like dropping it off at a temporary green bin coming soon to select community centres!

Help address anti-Black racism in Vaughan

Members of the Black community are invited to share their lived experiences with the City

If you identify as a Black citizen living in Vaughan, bring your voice to the table. Virtual focus groups are taking place starting next week to help identify and address anti-Black racism in the City of Vaughan – and you’re invited to attend. Your input can help improve City programs, policies, procedures and services.

Don’t taint your waste with paint!

Paint and other hazardous household materials must be disposed of safely

Whether you’re working on a home renovation, opening your pool soon or spring cleaning, you may have extra materials to throw away. But not all items can go in the garbage, blue box and green bin – and that includes paint and other hazardous household waste you may be using for these projects.
