Weekly leaf and yard waste collection ends soon

Biweekly collection starts the week of June 11

 

As spring transitions to summer, the City of Vaughan’s weekly leaf and yard waste collection will move to a biweekly schedule. Starting the week of June 11, depending on your scheduled collection day, staff will pick up your yard waste materials every other week.

Celebrate Italian Heritage Month at Vaughan City Hall!

Join us for a family-friendly event on Sunday, June 2

 

Join Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council to recognize Italian Heritage Month at our second annual event tomorrow – Sunday, June 2 –from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Vaughan City Hall (2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.). 

 

The event will honour and commemorate the richness of Italian art, heritage and culture. Festivities will feature greetings from Mayor Del Duca and complimentary pizza, porchetta, ice cream and refreshments.

Huntington Road

The study area includes Huntington Road, from Major Mackenzie Drive to Kirby Road, and the New Kleinburg neighbourhood area, which includes both major subdivisions accessible by Timber Creek Boulevard and Barons Street. 

 

This area was selected based on our commitment to continue to monitor and address traffic congestion, traffic circulation, truck traffic movements, operating speeds, pedestrian and cycling safety and on-street curbside activity.
