Come out and experience the ‘Magic’ of Concerts in the Park! The City of Vaughan’s 31st annual Vaughan Celebrates Concerts in the Park series will come to a close on Wednesday, Aug. 20 in Ward 4 with Glory Days – Tribute to Bruce Springsteen at the North Thornhill Community Centre outdoor amphitheatre, located at 300 Pleasant Ridge Ave.
Vaughan is home to many types of wild animals, such as raccoons, skunks, birds, foxes and coyotes. As animals start to leave their dens, an increase in sightings is common. Here are some simple precautions to help you and your family learn how to live peacefully with urban wildlife.
Don’t feed wildlife
Vaughan Animal Services (VAS) is dedicated to creating a safe community for pets and their owners – which includes offering microchipping services and rabies vaccines.
Book an appointment to bring your pets to the microchip and rabies clinic at the Vaughan Animal Shelter (located at 70 Tigi Crt., Unit 47) on Sunday, Aug. 24 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call the City of Vaughan at 905-832-2281 to schedule your timeslot. Walk-ins will not be accepted.
