Vaughan Donates $10,000 to Philippines for Disaster Relief from Mayor's Gala Proceeds

Vaughan is donating $10,000 to the Filipino Canadian Charitable Association of Vaughan – Haiyan Typhoon Fund from proceeds from the Mayor’s Gala. On Friday, Nov. 8, the Philippines was struck by one of the strongest storms in recorded history that caused widespread damage, including landslides and flooding.

One-of-a-Kind Creations at Vaughan of a Kind Art + Craft Show

If you are looking to get a head start on holiday shopping, then the eighth annual Vaughan of a Kind Art + Craft Show is the place to be. The show takes place on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Vellore Village Community Centre, located at 1 Villa Royale Ave. in Woodbridge.

The show will feature more than 70 artisans from the City of Vaughan and the Greater Toronto Area exhibiting a wealth of high calibre craftsmanship.

City Hosts Community Forum on Protecting Natural Heritage and Reducing Emissions

The City of Vaughan invites residents to attend a community forum to provide input on two important Green Directions Vaughan projects: the Natural Heritage Network Study and the Community Climate Action Plan. The forum will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 13 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Vaughan City Hall in Council Chambers.
