Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua and Members of Council, together with the Federation of Chinese Canadians in Vaughan and the presenting sponsor PowerStream, will join residents and special guests to celebrate the Chinese New Year and the Year of the Sheep.

City of Vaughan Hires New City Manager
After a thorough recruitment process, the City of Vaughan is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Steve Kanellakos as City Manager, effective May 2015.
Family Day Closures and Holiday Hours
Vaughan City Hall and the Joint Operations Centre will be closed on Monday, Feb. 16 for Family Day. Offices will reopen on Tuesday, Feb. 17. Some City services and facilities will operate on an alternative schedule on Family Day.
Vaughan community centres will be open on Family Day. In addition to regularly scheduled programs, Vaughan residents can enjoy special free Family Day activities.
Vaughan Screens Short Film for Black History Month

Fans of film are invited to a free screening of the short documentary A Commemorative Tour of Owen Sound’s Black History Heritage on Saturday, Feb. 21 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Vaughan City Hall in recognition of Black History Month. Official welcome to commence at 2:30 p.m.
