The City of Vaughan joined thousands of cities and towns across the world in marking Earth Hour by powering down for one hour on Saturday, March 28. Vaughan is a proud participant of this global movement that aims to educate and encourage people about the many ways and benefits of conservation.

A Special Council Meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 1 at 7 p.m. in Council Chamber to finalize and approve the PROPOSED 2015 Operating and Capital Budgets, and the PROPOSED 2015 Water and Wastewater/Stormwater Operating Budgets. The meeting will include a presentation by City staff and an opportunity for public input.

If you’re staying in the city during March Break, then take a trip to the City of Vaughan’s community centres for drop-in leisure activities and registered camps, offered from Friday, March 13 to Sunday, March 22.
Free recreational swimming, sponsored by Tim Hortons, is scheduled during various afternoons and evenings at select pools. Outdoor rinks will be open for free recreational skating and shinny hockey, weather permitting.
