Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua is thanking residents, first responders, PowerStream and City crews for their outstanding efforts following the recent ice storm. The City is continuing with clean-up efforts to remove fallen tree debris from roadsides, parks and other public areas.
For residents who have experienced damage to their home’s electrical equipment, the Electrical Safety Authority has provided important information about arranging electrical repairs before power can be restored to homes.

The warming centre located at Dufferin Clark Community Centre will remain open for 24 hours for residents seeking overnight accommodations. Residents that need shelter for their dogs and cats can drop them off at the animal shelter located at 70 Tigi Court until midnight tonight. They can be picked up at 8:30 a.m. the next day.
The warming centres located at Maple Community Centre and Vellore Village Community Centre will remain open until midnight tonight. All other Vaughan community centres are operating on normal scheduled hours.
