Celebrate the season with festive music, holiday cheer and a virtual countdown to light up the tree
 
Each December, the City of Vaughan invites the community to gather for the annual Christmas Tree Lighting outside City Hall. This year, due to COVID-19, this special event will take place online! Residents are encouraged to watch from the safety and comfort of home tonight starting at 7 p.m.

Tonight at 7 p.m., the City of Vaughan will hold the first of three public meetings to discuss the 2021 Budget and 2022 Financial Plan. During this electronic-participation Special Committee of the Whole meeting, citizens will have the opportunity to speak live to Council and learn more about how their hard-earned tax dollars are being invested.

Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua and Members of Council presented Martha Bell with the Ward 2 Civic Hero Award at today's Committee of the Whole Public Hearing. Initially scheduled to occur earlier this year, the presentation was postponed due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
 
Martha is among the founding members of the Woodbridge Village Farmers' Market.
