Residents can now beat the heat there until 9 p.m. daily

With the ongoing heat wave and more hot weather in the forecast, effective today the City of Vaughan will be extending the hours of operation at all 18 of its splashpads until 9 p.m. daily until further notice. These popular amenities open at 9 a.m. 

As Vaughan continues through stage two of the provincial reopening framework, the City is reminding residents that they can do their part to support the local economy by shopping safely with local businesses and restaurants with #ShopVaughanLocal.

Hot weather continues this week, and the City of Vaughan is reminding residents to take precautions to stay cool – this could include visiting a local splashpad! 

Although Vaughan Public Libraries (VPL) has cancelled all in-library programs until January 2021 in response to COVID-19, its online programming continues to grow and evolve to meet the needs of users.  

Summer Reading Club  

The City of Vaughan is committed to maintaining and improving the stormwater system to meet the needs of this growing community right now and for many years to come. In support of this direction, the one-time annual stormwater charge will appear on Alectra Utilities bills in a phased approach from Monday, July 13 until mid-September.
