Here’s what’s planned for Maple Hill Park

 

There’s a new park coming to the Ward 4 community! 

 

The future Maple Hill Park will be located at the corner of Major Mackenzie Drive and McNaughton Road, at 1818 Major Mackenzie Dr. The park will be approximately 0.4 hectares (1 acre) or about the size of a mini soccer field and will serve current and future residents to the area.

The application deadline for the City of Vaughan’s 2025 Summer Company program has been extended by one week until Friday, May 2.

Reminder: Unauthorized car rallies are not allowed in Vaughan!

Avoid charges of up to $10,000 

 

The City of Vaughan continues to prioritize public safety for everyone who lives in, works in and visits Vaughan. As part of this commitment, in April 2024, Vaughan became one of the first cities in Ontario to take a strong stance and prohibit unauthorized car rallies. The City is reminding everyone that unauthorized car rallies are illegal and may result in a charge of up to $10,000.

In this role, you will provide advice on policies, programs, strategies and initiatives that promote inclusion, diversity and community engagement, focusing on underrepresented groups, including youth, newcomers and equity-deserving communities.

Growing Vaughan’s urban forest

105 trees planted in celebration of Arbor Week

 

It’s Arbor Week and the City of Vaughan is doing its part to plant roots for future generations. To mark the occasion, the City hosted a tree-planting event today at Concord/Thornhill Regional Park (299 Racco Pkwy.). 

 

Mayor Steven Del Duca, Members of Council, City staff and community volunteers lent a hand to plant 105 trees which will be enjoyed for generations to come.
