Vaughan’s Communications, Marketing and Engagement team earns national recognition

The City of Vaughan’s Communications, Marketing and Engagement department has received bronze for In-House Team of the Year at the Canadian Public Relations Society’s (CPRS) 2026 Awards of Excellence, which honours communications teams that demonstrate leadership, collaboration and measurable impact within their organizations.

 

This achievement was celebrated with Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council during a special ceremonial presentation at the June 16 Committee of the Whole (2) Meeting. This national honour reflects the team’s ability to deliver high-impact campaigns and customer service.  

 

The CPRS is one of Canada’s leading professional associations for public relations and communications professionals. The Awards of Excellence recognize outstanding achievement in public relations across Canada, showcasing best practices, strategic thinking and measurable results. For this recognition, the City placed in the same category as the University of Toronto and the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids).

 

The Communications, Marketing and Engagement department continues to evolve how the City connects with the community – making information easier to access, engagement more dynamic and services simpler to navigate. Through integrated campaigns, digital-first strategies and targeted outreach, the team is increasing awareness, driving participation and delivering on its commitment to Service Excellence.
