Shine bright tomorrow night at Vaughan’s ‘tree-ific’ Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony!
Gather your family and friends and head to Vaughan City Hall (2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.) tomorrow, Saturday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. for the City’s spectacular Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony.
Get ready for an evening packed with holiday cheer! Enjoy warm greetings from Mayor Steven Del Duca, snap a photo with Santa Claus and soak in the sweet sounds of Christmas music. Sip on coffee and hot chocolate while enjoying the entertainment and activities, and join us in counting down as we light up the 45-foot-tall Christmas tree. Best of all? It’s free and family-friendly!
This annual event brings more than just holiday cheer to Vaughan families. It is also a reminder of the true meaning behind the season – to give back. The City is accepting donations for its 16th annual Toy Drive in support of the CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish until Friday, Dec. 12.
Event attendees are invited to bring a new unwrapped toy for children aged newborn to 18 years old to help ensure everyone has a special holiday this year. All donations will be directed to the CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish, which supplies registered charitable organizations, social service agencies, churches and community centres throughout the Greater Toronto Area with new, unwrapped toys and financial donations.
