Delivering progress, strengthening communities
The City of Vaughan is building more than infrastructure – we’re building a city for you.
From roads and parks to community centres and environmental improvements, we’re investing in projects that support a high quality of life for all. The 2025 Delivery Report (PDF) highlights the work completed and underway across Vaughan to build complete, connected and resilient neighbourhoods. These efforts reflect our commitment to enhancing public spaces, supporting safe and sustainable growth, and meeting the needs of a growing population – today and into the future.
Here are some highlights from the report:
- Invested $181.6 million across 388 projects in asset groups such as roads, bridges, parks, facilities and stormwater management infrastructure.
- Advanced key city-building projects identified in the Council-approved Nine Point Action Plan to Fight Traffic Gridlock, including the Canada Drive–America Avenue Bridge and the Kirby Road Extension, both scheduled for completion this year.
- Completed major studies, including the Vaughan Transportation Master Plan and the McNaughton Road West Environmental Assessment, and initiated the Bass Pro Mills Drive Extension and Teston Road Improvements studies.
- Opened the new Carrville Community Centre (655 Thomas Cook Ave.), Library and District Park (266 Valley Vista Dr.), and reopened the enhanced Woodbridge Library (150 Woodbridge Ave.).
- Began construction to improve Fire Station 7-1 (835 Clark Ave.) and broke ground on the new Family Recreation Area at North Maple Regional Park (11085 Keele St.).
And more is coming in 2026! Our Planning and Infrastructure Development portfolio continues to develop long-range infrastructure planning studies and initiatives to support future growth in our city, such as the Highway 7 Widening and Colossus Drive Extension projects.
