Game on, Vaughan! You’re invited to come out and ‘kick it’ with us on Wednesday, July 15 for the City of Vaughan’s Canada Celebrates the FIFA World Cup 2026™ semi-final stop at Assembly Park (80 Interchange Way).

Join us for an electric, once-in-a-lifetime celebration, featuring cultural and music performances, interactive activities, delicious food, family-friendly entertainment and, of course, the live semi-final match viewing at 3 p.m. on large screens.

You’re encouraged to represent your country or semi-final team with jerseys, flags and more.

Teams taking part in the semi-final match and timing of the event will be confirmed at a later date.

As part of the Canada Celebrates program, 34 communities from across the country were selected to take turns hosting celebrations throughout the tournament, from Thursday, June 11 to Sunday, July 19. Vaughan is proud to be the only municipality in York Region participating in the Canada Celebrates program.

Let’s come together as a community on Wednesday, July 15 to be part of this beautiful, historic moment and celebrate our shared love of the game.
