All Aboard! Nashville Park is NOW OPEN
There’s another place to play in the Nashville-Kleinburg community – Nashville Park!
On Sept. 28, Mayor Steven Del Duca, Members of Council and the community gathered to celebrate the official opening of Nashville Park with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, free ice cream and family-friendly entertainment.
Located at 639 Barons St., the new 1.4-hectare (3.46-acre) neighbourhood park is inspired by the area's rich rail history and the historic Kleinburg Train Station. Shaped by community input, the park's train-and-tracks theme is woven throughout the space, creating a unique destination for play, recreation and gathering.
Families can explore a train-themed playground, challenge friends to a game of tennis, enjoy the multi-use lawn, relax beneath a train station-inspired shade structure and connect in welcoming gathering areas surrounded by native trees and shrubs.
As the newest stop in Vaughan's growing network of parks and open spaces, Nashville Park offers residents another place to get active, spend time outdoors and connect with neighbours close to home. It joins nearby recreational destinations in the Nashville-Kleinburg community, including the recently opened Algoma Park, the lit 500-metre Nashville Greenway, and the upcoming Mactier Greenway Fitness Equipment Station.
