Rainbow crosswalk to be unveiled at Vaughan City Hall

As part of that commitment, everyone is invited to join Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua and Members of Council during Pride Week to celebrate the unveiling of a new rainbow crosswalk at City Hall on Tuesday, June 14 at 11 a.m.

Hot weather is in the forecast this week! If you are looking for ways to beat the heat, why not visit one of the City’s 20 splashpads in Vaughan? They are open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Remember, splashpads are not supervised and require everyone to take precautions. The size of each splashpad varies between parks, with larger and more complex water-play areas found in district parks.

City’s new pilot program promotes active, accessible and sustainable ways of getting to school

 

Who says going to school can’t be fun? The City of Vaughan is excited to launch Active School Travel, a new pilot program promoting any form of human-powered travel, such as walking or wheeling (including the use of assistive mobility devices), cycling, rollerblading, skateboarding or riding the bus to get to and from school.
