Double-Up Days are nearly here!
The City of Vaughan’s Double-Up Days are just around the corner! During the weeks of June 14 or 21, depending on your regularly scheduled collection day, you can get rid of excess waste by placing up to six garbage items at the curb – paid tags are not required.

The City of Vaughan is dedicated to fostering a community that is diverse, welcoming and inclusive for all residents. As part of that commitment, everyone is invited to join Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua and Members of Council during Pride Week to celebrate the unveiling of a new rainbow crosswalk at City Hall on Tuesday, June 14 at 11 a.m.

Stay cool at the City’s splashpads!
Hot weather is in
the forecast this week! If you are looking for ways to beat the heat, why not visit
one of the City’s 20 splashpads in Vaughan? They are open daily from 9 a.m. to
9 p.m.
Remember, splashpads are not supervised and require everyone to take precautions. The size of each splashpad varies between parks, with larger and more complex water-play areas found in district parks.

Ride your way into Bike Month
Let’s get ready to ride! Bike Month has officially kicked off and the City of Vaughan is encouraging citizens to grab their bikes, get outside and cycle through local neighbourhoods, parks and trails.

Who says going to school can’t be fun? The City of Vaughan is excited to launch Active School Travel, a new pilot program promoting any form of human-powered travel, such as walking or wheeling (including the use of assistive mobility devices), cycling, rollerblading, skateboarding or riding the bus to get to and from school.
