Mayor Bevilacqua: Vaughan ends declared state of emergency

City-building continues with enhanced virtual services


The following is a statement by Vaughan Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua:

"Today, I formally signed the declaration terminating the emergency related to the COVID-19 global pandemic, effective Wednesday, April 27, 2022, according to the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act, R.S.O. 1990. 

Mayor Bevilacqua: Vaughan earns prestigious 2021 Tree Cities of the World recognition

International initiative led by United Nations and Arbor Day Foundation to celebrate cities leading in urban and community forestry


The following statement was issued by Vaughan Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua after a special presentation during the April 26 Council meeting:

"I am pleased to announce the City of Vaughan's Public Works department has earned the prestigious 2021 Tree Cities of the World recognition for its leadership in urban forest management practices.
