There’s nothing like spending summer in the City of Vaughan’s many beautiful parks and trails – but dumped garbage bags and litter can ruin the experience! Keeping the community clean is a team effort, and you can help make a big difference. Here’s how:
The City of Vaughan reminds you that weekly leaf and yard waste collection is ending soon. Every other week collection will start on June 14, on your garbage collection week. Remember to place these materials curbside no earlier than 6 p.m. the night before and no later than 7 a.m. on your collection day.
As a reminder, here are items that are accepted in leaf and yard waste collection:
Vaughan commuters: the City’s Rutherford and Maple GO Mobility On-Request Pilot Program is expanding to serve you better! Launched this May in partnership with Metrolinx and York Region Transit (YRT), this new on-demand rideshare program makes it even easier for you to commute to and from the Rutherford and Maple GO stations.

trails! The popular StoryWalk program is back again this year, brought to life
by Vaughan Public Libraries (VPL) and the City’s Public Works teams. This
exciting initiative is a global program that promotes literacy, health and
