Purpose
The Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC) Streetscape + Open Space Plan builds upon the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Secondary Plan to:
Vaughan Healthcare Centre Precinct – Landscape Architecture
Project Summary
The City of Vaughan and consulting team, HOK, have completed the Vaughan Healthcare Centre Precinct Landscape Architecture which includes a landscape concept, landscape guidelines, detailed designs for early phase streetscape and landscape works, and a landscape maintenance manual.
Steeles West District Urban Design Guidelines + Streetscape Plan
Purpose:
The purpose of the Steeles West Urban Design and Streetscape Plan is to prepare an Urban Design Framework, Urban Design Guidelines, a Streetscape Plan, and a Phasing/ Implementation Plan for the Steeles West Secondary Plan area located within the City of Vaughan.
Kleinburg-Nashville Heritage Conservation District
The City of Vaughan originated from the amalgamation of several rural villages: Woodbridge, Kleinburg-Nashville, Maple and Thornhill which, together with surrounding countryside, were incorporated in 1974 to create the Town of Vaughan. These villages were established in the 19th century following a long history of indigenous habitation and First Nations settlement along the river valleys and trails.
Concord West Urban Design Framework + Streetscape Plan
Purpose:
The purpose of the Concord West Urban Design Streetscape Plan is to provide an Urban Design Framework, Streetscape Plan, and Phasing/ Implementation Plan for the Concord West Community.
The study will support Vaughan and York Region Official Plan objectives and be coordinated with the community, Regional vivaNext bus rapid transitway planned for Highway 7, and the York Region "Class Environmental Assessment Study for Keele Street from Steeles Avenue to Rutherford Road".
