Ontario Regulation 103 / 94 of the Environmental Protection Act states, in part, that "The Owner of the building that contains six or more dwelling units shall implement a source separation program for the waste generated at the building". This means that recycling in multi-residential buildings is mandatory.
Attention property managers! As of Oct. 2, the City is using a new bulky item pickup scheduling tool! Please refer to the User Guide (PDF) to learn how to set up an account, book a pickup and modify or delete your pickup requests.
Benefits of grasscycling:
The City of Vaughan has specific Christmas tree collection days that are marked on the annual collection schedule. 2022 dates start the week of Jan. 4 and Jan. 11.
Below is a list of general items that are not accepted by the City for waste collection. Alternative disposal options are provided. For any questions or clarification, please contact Environmental Services.
