Keep parked cars off the roads during a snowfall

With snow in the forecast tomorrow, the City of Vaughan is reminding everyone to keep parked cars off the roads during and after snowfalls to allow City crews to clear streets and sidewalks properly. Keep fats, oils and grease out of drains!

Protect your pipes – and the environment – by using your green bin

The holiday season is a time for enjoying meals with loved ones. But remember, fats, oils and grease – such as butter, olive oil, gravy and meat fat – can clog sewer pipes if disposed of down the drain, such as through a sink or toilet. This can cause a backup of sewage flooding into your home, your neighbours’ homes and onto streets – which can pollute the environment!
