The Weston 7 Secondary Plan

The Weston 7 area is evolving. The City of Vaughan is undertaking a Weston 7 Secondary Plan to guide the transformation of this area into a complete, vibrant and active community. Once complete, Weston 7 will be a distinct urban destination with a variety of commercial, cultural and entertainment amenities, and parks and open space, supported by housing, jobs and community facilities.

Yonge-Steeles Corridor Collector Roads Environmental Assessment Study

The Yonge-Steeles corridor is evolving. As part of its growth, the City of Vaughan is undertaking a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment study for the proposed extensions of Royal Palm Drive and Powell Road. The City is proposing an extension of Royal Palm Drive, from Hilda Avenue to Yonge Street, and of Powell Road, from Pinewood Drive to Steeles Avenue West.

Well before construction begins, developments undergo a careful review by City staff, Vaughan Council, public agencies (such as the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, York Region and provincial ministries, where appropriate) … and you! Public feedback is a vital part of the planning process and there are many ways to have a say before applications are approved.
