Did you know that small businesses in Vaughan account for more than 87 per cent of all businesses in the city? That’s why the Vaughan Business and Entrepreneurship Centre (VBEC) is celebrating their contributions during Small Business Week from Sunday, Oct. 15 until Saturday, Oct. 21! 

You’re invited to connect and network with like-minded business owners and entrepreneurs through the many programs and events being offered throughout the week.

As the air turns crisp and the leaves change colours, there is still plenty to see and do in Vaughan! From playing at beautiful parks and well-maintained sports fields, to visiting accessible trails and more, our community is brimming with fall adventures to keep you and your family entertained.

Street sweeping and road maintenance

By-laws are put in place to ensure a safe and orderly community for all who live, work and play in Vaughan. 

Get your waste bags ready – Double-Up Days are back this week or next, depending on your scheduled collection day! This program allows you to place up to six garbage items at the curb with no paid garbage tags required. Need to 'double'-check your collection day? Visit vaughan.ca/WasteCalendar.

If you have gently used household items you want to clear out, don’t throw them in the garbage – save them for Curbside Giveaway Days this weekend! From Saturday, Sept. 23 to Sunday, Sept. 24, participate in this waste reduction program by placing gently used items at the curb for your neighbours to take, free of charge.
