The City’s Economic Development team has been recognized once again for their work to make Vaughan a place where entrepreneurship, business, tourism and art can prosper and grow!
It’s getting warmer outside – so bring your kids to cool off at one of Vaughan’s splashpads! Starting today, many of the City of Vaughan’s splashpads will be open every day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.! Please note, splashpad openings are subject to weather and surface conditions.

As seasonal park amenities open for your enjoyment, the City of Vaughan is reminding you that keeping these spaces safe and clean is a community effort. Every ‘litter’ bit helps; no action to reduce litter is too small!
Littering has a negative impact on the quality of life for everyone. It is harmful to the environment, dangerous for pets and wildlife as they may eat or be injured by discarded items, unpleasant to look at, and costs taxpayer dollars to clean up.
The City of Vaughan’s archives house more than 600 collections dating from the early 1700s to the present day. Within these files are the stories of how Vaughan evolved from the traditional territories of the First Peoples of Turtle Island to the bustling city it has become.

The long weekend is almost here! Victoria Day is one of only two days each year you can light fireworks in Vaughan without a permit. But do you know how to handle them safely? If you plan to use fireworks on Monday, May 20, there are some important safety steps to follow before, during and after you set them off.
