The City of Vaughan is dedicated to advancing accessibility. Through a variety of diversity and inclusion initiatives, the City is fostering an inclusive, equitable, accessible and accommodating community for all. As a reflection of this, the City celebrated National AccessAbility Week today through a virtual event.

Longtime Vaughan resident Nadia Magarelli receives Ward 3 Civic Hero Award
 
Tonight, during a special virtual ceremonial presentation in the Committee of the Whole Public Meeting, Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua, Ward 3 Councillor Rosanna DeFrancesca and Members of Council presented Nadia Magarelli with the 2021 Ward 3 Civic Hero Award.

For the second year in a row, the City of Vaughan will be hosting its annual award-winning Vaughan Celebrates Canada Day celebration presented by TD and event sponsor Tim Hortons, virtually. This year’s lineup will be headlined by Canadian musicians and JUNO Award winners Sam Roberts Band, with special guest Jully Black, dubbed Canada’s queen of R&B and a JUNO Award winner.
