Apply for Bridges of Love by Oct. 15

Winter preparedness starts long before the first snowflake falls. September is the ideal time for older adults and their families to explore snow-removal options and ensure support is in place before winter weather arrives.

Bridges of Love is a volunteer-run charity that connects older adults across York Region with essential services, including snow removal. There is no cost to the homeowner – the service is covered in full by Bridges of Love, with support from the City of Vaughan. The program runs from Sunday, Nov. 15, 2026, until Thursday, April 15, 2027.

Vaughan residents aged 65 and older can apply for the 2026-27 winter season by completing an application form (PDF) and emailing it to info@bridgesofloveyr.com by Thursday, Oct. 15. Bridges of Love will contact approved applicants before Sunday, Nov. 15 to confirm their placement in the program.
